What is a prosthodontist?
A prosthodontist receives the same training as a general dentist, plus two additional years of training in the art and science of replacing missing teeth and other facial structures. Dr. Gittleman attended the University of Pennsylvania for his DMD, and then studied prosthodontics at the University of Texas. He has over 25 years of experience with implants, dentures, bridges, and other prosthetics.

What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is the latest tooth-substitution available. It replaces the tooth root with a small post that is surgically inserted into the jaw bone. A custom crown, bridge, or denture is attached to the post for a completely natural looking and feeling tooth replacement. Dental implants are designed to function just like natural teeth, and they can potentially last a lifetime.
