Full or Partial Dentures
Not too long ago, dentures were considered purely cosmetic. People actually took their dentures out prior to eating a meal. Fortunately, modern dentures are designed to withstand chewing pressures, in addition to looking natural and restoring speech. Dr. Gittleman designs precision partials and dentures, and our in-office technicians expertly fabricate the prosthetic from high-quality materials.
What is a precision partial or denture?
If you’ve worn a denture or partial in the past, then you recognize the importance of a proper fit. Dr. Gittleman takes exact measurements and impressions, so he can design a denture that feels natural. His attention to detail, combined with over 25 years of experience and an in-house dental laboratory yield exceptional results for our patients.
Dentures vs. Partials – Which is Which?
A full denture replaces all of the teeth in the mouth, whereas a partial denture replaces missing teeth scattered throughout a smile. Dentures can be secured with natural suction, and partials often have unobtrusive clips or clasps that lock them in place. Dr. Gittleman may also recommend implant-supported dentures or partials, which typically cannot be removed by the patient, eliminate the potential for slippage, and stimulate jaw-bone growth.
